The Immortal Pup
Lost. Attacked. Still swimming.
July 4, 2026. Fireworks lit up the sky, and a small black poodle named Prieta disappeared.
Her family searched for nearly two weeks.
July 16. A witness at Cooley Landing Park in East Palo Alto saw a small dog enter the water and keep swimming.
Half a mile from shore.
Rough water.
Seagulls diving from above.
A wound on her cheek.
And a tiny black head, paddling through the waves.

Firefighters tracked the little swimmer with binoculars and a drone.
Airboat 77 reached her.
One firefighter leaned over the bow and lifted the pup out of the water with one arm.
Shivering. Exhausted. Alive.
Her microchip led the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA to her family.
A little over an hour after reaching the shelter, Prieta was back in her owner’s arms.
A pup that vanished.
A pup that kept swimming.
That's where PRIETA begins.
Genes pass life forward. Humans also seek to pass something else on: our thoughts, humor, and spirit.
Long before screens or charts, we shared memes—ideas that could travel beyond a single lifetime.
A meme belongs to no single creator or moment. It lives on through the people who choose to carry it forward.
Some things are remembered through sacrifice. Dogs became part of our lives simply by showing up.
For thousands of years, they've walked beside us—loyal, familiar, and carrying zero baggage. A dog's greatest crime? Stealing a snack.
They don't need a complex whitepaper to be loved. That is a strong foundation for anything that wants to last.
Not just because she has a story, but because her story embodies what every meme strives for: PERSISTENCE.
Found swimming half a mile offshore, with seagulls diving at her. The Immortal Pup isn't a slogan. It's what she earned in the water.
Maybe instinct told her to survive. We made it worth carrying. That's a meme. That's PRIETA.
We're not here to make a moment.
We're here to become an immortal meme.
